earthquake in costa rica

i have been to these places and have friends who live in the emergency zone. i have not heard from them, but i am sure they are fine because they live within the city of alajuela, not the outskirts.
i'm really glad minnesota doesn't have earthquakes, because they scare the shit out of me.
